First Month Down

Withings Scale

I did it! I stuck with Ripped in 30 and my half marathon training for the whole month, and boy did it pay off! Here are my starting and ending stats:

Day 1
8/13/12

Weight: 177.3
Chest: 40
Arm: 11
Waist: 37
Hip: 39.75
Thigh: 20.5
Calf: 15

Day 30 (31? I don't even know. Close enough)
9/13/12

Weight: 169.3
Chest: 37.75
Arm: 10.5
Waist: 32.5
Hip: 37.5
Thigh: 19.5
Calf: 14.5

Total Weight Lost: 8lbs
Total Inches Lost: 11!

Woot!! I'm a little disappointed because I was 168.5 on Monday, but I seem to have my big loss during my period every month and then gain a little back when I'm done. Guess what? I'm done now, so of course I gained a bit back. I'm still thrilled with my "after," though! 11 inches, bitches!! 4.5" in my waist alone!

The first two pictures are from last summer. I was about 190 then. The right pictures are this morning at 169.3.

These two are my Ripped before & afters. I forgot to take pictures on day 1, so the left is after I was done with Level 1. There's only a 3 week difference between left and right.

  5. You are soo inspiring with your running AND doing the JM stuff. Your picture results should be the response whenever ever somebody whines about the numbers not dropping faster. Because if you get results like that with a slow steady loss, thats what I would go for! Keep at it!

  9. Awesome!!! I really need to add strength training to my 1/2 training as well. I'm worried I'll over load my legs. Any advice??

    1. I didn't really notice a difference in my training after adding Ripped. In fact, I think it helped since I lost weight and gained muscle. I finally started seeing improvements in my pace after incorporating Ripped. Level 4 did make my runs sluggish, but I started it after running 13.6 and that didn't help either. My half is a week this coming Saturday, so I've been taking it easy since finishing Ripped last Wednesday. I'm focusing on my taper runs until after the race.
