Ripped, Level 2

I was so proud of myself for getting dressed in my workout clothes first thing this morning, and actually getting my workout in. After dropping Abby off at school, I had *just* enough time to do Level 2 and take a shower before taking Cora to gymnastics. I wanted to be a slacker and just sit in front of the computer until it was time to shower, but I didn't. Go me!

Unfortunately, I didn't plan the rest of my day as well. Sure, I had enough time to workout and shower, but I forgot to eat. I wasn't all that hungry, so I didn't really think about it. Once we got to gymnastics, though, I was starving! I need to remember to throw a couple Luna bars in my bag for times like this. Oh, and I barely made it to gymnastics on my almost-empty gas tank. I was praying the whole time that I wouldn't run out of gas, and I'd still have enough to get me to a gas station afterward. I was down to 11 miles on my tank when we got to gymnastics, but I didn't have enough time to stop. Thankfully I made it to a gas station after!

Anyway, I was talking about food before I remembered my empty van. Back to food. Seriously, if you're going to read my blog, I should warn you that my thoughts are all over the place and that's pretty much how I write. And tell stories in real life. I'll get to my point eventually. I suppose I could edit my posts, but what's the fun in that?

Oh yeah, food.

So I'm starving when we get to gymnastics, and I had to go to Target afterward to pick up my meds (I have hypothyroidism and high blood pressure, and take meds for both). I could've stopped at home to grab something healthy on the way to Target since my house is sort of between the two, but I only now thought of that. Oops. Instead, we hit the Taco Bell drive-thru across the street from the gas station I barely made it to. What? It was RIGHT THERE. I was sorta good, at least. I only ordered a Doritos taco (holy hell, those are crack!), a small bean burrito, and a SMALL Pepsi. I ate the taco, about 2/3 of the burrito, and just a few drinks of the Pepsi. For me, that's huge! In the past, I would've ordered a double-decker taco, a steak chalupa, a 7 layer-burrito, and extra large Pepsi. That was my standard order for the longest time. Yum! Cora noticed the change too. She asked me why I was drinking a "baby cup" instead of my gigantic one. Today's meal was still plenty tasty and filling enough to leave me satisfied. Instead of beating myself up for the Taco Bell stop, I'm going to be proud of myself for making slightly better choices and not going crazy. Baby steps.
